Equalization has passed at UCF! Thanks to the hard work and dedication of NORML@UCF, the Golden Rule Review Committee has voted in favor of the Equalization Initiative, bringing penalties for marijuana and underage alcohol possession to equal levels at UCF. Elvy is one of only four federally supplied medical marijuana smokers left on the govt. IND program. she receives 300 joints a month from uncle sam for glaucoma. Come join Habitat for Humanity and other student groups for UCF's first annual Shack-A-Thon! Groups will construct and decorate shacks from donated materials on a 12x12' lot on Memory Mall. Participants may camp out and enjoy live music, free food and games all night! Shack-A-Thon is a fundraising event hosted by Habitat for Humanity at UCF to raise money for substandardized housing in the Central Florida area. Groups may consist of as many team members as you'd like, but only 5-10 may help build. Building takes place on January 22nd from 12pm to 8pm. Awards will be given to the team who have raises the most money as well as the Fan Favorite and an Overall Winner, who will earn the title of Co-Sponsor for the house to be built by Habitat UCF. Lawmakers on the California Assembly, Committee on Public Safety, voted 4 to 3 today in favor of Assembly Bill 390: The Marijuana Control, Regulation, and Education Act — which seeks to legalize the production, distribution, and personal use of marijuana for adults age 21 and older. The vote is first time since 1913, when California became one of the first states in the nation to criminalize the use and possession of marijuana, that lawmakers have called for the repeal of cannabis prohibition.
