This will be the final NORML meeting for the Fall term of 2011! Come out to hear co-author of SAFER, Mason Tavert, who is directly responsible for the passing of Colorado's medical marijuana law.

Anna Diaz is the co-founder of Oregon NORML, member of NORML's board of directors and a recently awarded member of the NORML Women's Alliance. Anna received the Pauline Sabine award at the 2011 conference for the hard work she has done as a woman, and for women, in the fight against prohibition. Anna is a published writer on cannabis issues and has had articles featured in West Coast Leaf newspaper, West Coast Cannabis magazine, HighTimes.com and various NORML publications.

We are going to be showing the movie "How Weed Won the West," a great documentary about the history of the struggle in California and other western states, and the road to legalization.

Weekly Meeting 10-19-2011 (also Treasurer Elections!)

This week we are holding our elections for the new NORML Treasurer. If you have been nominated for the position, please make sure you come out to this meeting! We will also be going over final preparations for the upcoming camping trip this weekend.
DON'T FORGET, after the meeting there is a Wing-Eating Competition at Drew's house, so if you want to see if you're the fastest wing-eater in NORML, be sure to come out for the event.

Our special guest speaker this week, Madeline Martinez, is returning to UCF again to speak and help out NORML@UCF bring canabis law reform to UCF, Orlando, and Florida! She is the owner and founder of the first Cannabis Cafe in America, the Executive Director of Oregon NORML, a charter member of NORML Woman's Alliance, and is on NORML's Board of Directors.
